The Houston Texans official mascot, TORO, was selected as a nominee to be inducted into the 2025 Mascot Hall of Fame. I lead the marketing efforts during the public voting period that included media appearances and one-on-one interviews. The marketing efforts led to TORO not only being inducted into the Class of 2025 Mascot Hall of Fame, but resulted him in having the highest public votes among all mascots on the ballot.

Media Appearances
I lead marketing efforts in booking media appearances during the public voting period to promote TORO and highlight his impact within the community on and off the field. This marketing tactic led to four local media appearances that were broadcasted live on Houston morning news. This led to an increase in TORO’s public votes for the Mascot Hall of Fame ballot and created interest within the media market for one-on-one interviews to cover TORO’s story more in-depth.
One-on-One Interviews
I coordinated one-on-one interviews with the Senior Mascot Program Manager, Andrew Johnson. Johnson spoke on his journey to becoming TORO, the impact TORO has had within the community, and the Mascot Hall of Fame election process. This written publication was picked up by CBS News and created interest for a behind-the-scenes coverage story by the outlet.
Live on ‘Good Morning America’
TORO was announced as an official inductee into the 2025 Mascot Hall of Fame on Tuesday, June 17. The announcement was made live on Good Morning America. I lead the coordination of travel, media availability, and social content for the segment.
