Setting the Foundation International

The start of the international marketing efforts in Mexico began with a mutually beneficial partnership with Viva Aerobus. Viva Aerobus was the first in first international partnership established within the Houston Texans Organization. This partnership was to promote the airlines within the United States and offer international fans discounted packages and travel rates to attend Houston Texans games. During the partnership announcement, select members of the organization flew out and we were able to establish relationships within the community of Monterrey, Mexico. This set the foundation for future international marketing opportunities.

Building to the Foundation Internationally

After a successful first year partnership, we wanted to add on top of the international roots we had set. We wanted to connect with international fans even more and the community of Mexico. I collaborated with other departments to coordinate an International Draft party where a representative of Monterrey had the opportunity to make a draft pick on behalf of the Houston Texans. We also utilized our partnership with Viva Aerobus for travel and promoted them throughout the event. This event helped establish even more relationships within the community for the organization and maximize international media coverage.
